Deep Cycle Battery FAQ
-
What battery does my RV need?
For most travel trailers, you have two choices. The amp hours (Ah) of these batteries can vary from 50Ah to 400Ah. For pull-behind campers, you’ll most likely need 12V 80Ah or 12V 100Ah batteries. If you choose to use 6 volt batteries, you can wire them in a series to obtain 12 volts.
-
How long does a 12V RV battery last?
Under normal use conditions- lights, propane refrigerator, charging phones etc and water pump, a 12v battery will last 2-3 days.
-
Can I add an extra battery to my RV?
If you have a large enough space in your RV to add more batteries, you can add a third 12 volt – 100 Ah battery connected in parallel. However, it is not recommended to make more than three parallel connections.
